心脏低氧微环境对心脏祖细胞的作用

Abstract

在器官的整个生命周期里,驻留干细胞一直在补充受损细胞。各种驻留干细胞居住在低氧张力(低氧)的微环境下,这一微环境对于干细胞的生存和维持极为关键。最近,我们发现成年哺乳动物的心外膜和心外膜下层是心脏祖细胞生存的低氧微环境。与造血干细胞,(LT-HSCs)相似,在低氧的心外膜微环境下,祖细胞通过细胞质酵解,而不是线粒体氧化磷酸化,HIF-1α则保持他们在糖酵解的未分化状态。在这篇综述中,我们总结了低氧信号和干细胞功能之间的关系,并探讨了若干心脏干/祖细胞在心脏的平衡和再生中的作用。
