Dr. Sasan Partovi did his medical school at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He received for his medical studies a full scholarship from the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation. After medical school Dr. Partovi did a one year research fellowship in Imaging Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, Department of Radiology in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his radiology residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Thereafter he did his vascular and interventional radiology clinical fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, Dr. Partovi is a staff physician in the Interventional Radiology section of The Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Partovi has served as invited Faculty, Grand Round Speaker and gave invited lectures at major medical centers and meetings in the United States and internationally. His research interests are focused on advanced vascular imaging including contrast ultrasound as well as innovative endovascular treatment options for cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Sasan Partovi is up to now author of over 130 PubMed listed peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as numerous scientific abstracts and book chapters. He is currently serving as reviewer for 14 journals and is editorial board member of 4 journals. Dr. Partovi is member of the editorial board of Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Therapy since September 2012 and served twice as guest editor of special issues for the journal. These special issued were entitled “Cardiovascular MR Imaging” published in April 2014 and "Advanced venous imaging and image-guided venous interventions" published in December 2016.
