Professor Warner Mampuya, MD/PhD, is a cardiologist at the University of Sherbrooke Hospital. His area of expertise include echocardiography, preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation.
He obtained his medical degree from Beijing Medical University in 1993 and completed a PhD degree in cardiovascular sciences in the same institution with a thesis on the relationship between apoA-IV and coronary heart disease in 1998. He received clinical training in internal medicine and cardiology in Beijing (China) and in Sherbrooke (Canada). He completed a clinical scholarship in preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation at the Cleveland Clinic in 2011, before assuming a staff position at the Sherbrooke University Hospital. He also completed an inter-university diploma in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation in France.
He is currently professor at the University of Sherbrooke and director of the cardiac rehabilitation program at Sherbrooke university hospital. His current research interests include cardiac rehabilitation in heart failure and obese patients and telerehabilitation.
