Dr. Olcay Aksoy is a Professor of University of California-Los Angeles, Department of Medicine and Clinical Instructor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. He is a member of American Heart Association as well as American College of Cardiology. During the period of learning in the Duke University, Dr. Aksoy received his Bachelor of Science degree and Medical Doctorate degree. He completed his residency in Osler Internal Medicine Program of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Department of Medicine. Among numbers of professional awards, Dr. Aksoy was awarded the 2013 Innovator Award for excellence in creativity in 2013, the finalist of the Outstanding Fellows’ Research Competition in 2011 and the best Teacher Award in Internal Medicine Residency. He is the Primary Investigator of “PFO and ASD Management in patients who undergo Liver Transplantation”, the Co-Primary Investigator at UCLA, and etc. He has published numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Aksoy recently serves as the Interview and evaluates applicants to Duke University.
