Eike Nagel, MD, PhD

Prof. Eike Nagel is an world-recognized opinion leader in cardiac imaging. For more than 20 years he has been using cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging to diagnose problems of the heart or the vessels noninvasively. For the last 7 years he has developed and tested new methods for improved diagnoses as Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Imaging at King's College London. Prof. Nagel has developed stress tests for magnetic resonance imaging, which are now in use world-wide, holds several patents on imaging methods, and has authored more than 250 publications and 25 bookchapters.

Prof. Nagel has recently been appointed as Chair of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany, where he leads a new Cardiovascular Imaging Center at the University Hospital equipped with magnetic resonance imaging, PET and computed tomography.

As Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospital Frankfurt he translates his research into clinical practice for the benefit of the patient.
