通过纵向研究,我们了解到动脉粥样硬化斑块的组成各不相同,但在脑部及冠状动脉病例的病理基质中,这样的血栓常常见于炎性富脂质斑块上。过去的数十年,动脉粥样硬化不断进展,阻碍了我们对其对自然史的研究。因此,我们对粥样硬化斑块组分在心血管不良事件中的预测价值尚不清楚。故对动脉粥样硬化的进展进行标记,对筛查冠状动脉疾病高危患者、细化治疗方案及药学研究替代终点的制定而言非常重要。Athero-Express研究有一个大规模血管资料库,收集做过临床随访的血管标本。这项研究设计包含了关系到将来局部或系统血管预后的局部动脉粥样硬化斑块前瞻性研究,可以通过组织学、RNA或蛋白质水平几方面来解读。本文将对Athero-Express生物资料库自2002年启动以来的成果进行简要介绍,还将讨论生物资料库管理研究的临床意义和未来发展方向。
